VANS EMEA is looking for an exceptional Digital Marketplace Buyer to join our VANS EMEA Digital Marketplace team based in Stabio, Switzerland.

Let’s Talk about the Role

You as Digital Marketplace Buyer will work collaboratively to curate balanced, commercial, and innovative product ranges in-line with channel requirements. Delivering departmental strategies, identifying risks and opportunities to maintain and grow market share whilst supporting the brand strategy and objectives.

You will:

Collaborate with the Digital Marketplace Planning team for the implementation and execution of product strategies and financial plans in line with set targets and objectives.
Play a key role in elevating the GTM (Go-To-Market) process through close cross-functional collaboration to inform and influence regional product assortment decisions.
Support with effective in season supply and demand optimization
Build and maintain a targeted brand offer, with a strong focus on anticipating and meeting the needs of the VANS customer. Create exciting product ranges, considering multiple key attributes for range optimisation, brand strategy and customer experience across the Digital Marketplace channels.
Manage and optimize OTB (Open to Buy) to hit the set targets with full accountability of product selection.
Provide regular and timely product and category performance analysis and insights to inform and influence sound commercial in-season trading actions.
Provide weekly insights on best-selling items/categories and slow selling/down-trending categories to maximise sales and reduce inventory liabilities / markdown.
Stay up to date with marketplace, consumer and competitor insights related to product strategy and execution.
Oversee Sample Management processes ensuring elevated level of accuracy and timeliness.
Present assortment plans and strategies as and when required.

Previous buying experience required
Strong creativity and analytical skills
Strong product knowledge and sensitivity
Knowledgeable on industry and product trends
Innovative and entrepreneurial mindset
Strives for accuracy and attention to details
Team player attitude
Passion for Vans
Language skills: fluent in English. Other languages will be considered as a plus
Proficiency in the Microsoft office Suite, and especially in Excel and PowerPoint

A formal education and subsequent University Bachelor or Master’s degree would be nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
