Warehouse Area Manager – Returns department
Rotating shifts 6am – 2.30pm / 2.30pm – 11pm
Salary Range: £33,000 – £37,000 per year

VF Corporation is looking for an exceptional Warehouse Area Manager for our Returns team. This position is based in Bardon, Leicestershire, UK.

How You Will Make a Difference

Driving a safety culture and supporting Health & Safety compliance in the DC
Lead by example in embedding a culture of outstanding communication and achievement, taking opportunities to coach and develop team leaders
Identifying process improvements through Continuous Improvement methods
Inspiring a team focus on Continuous Improvement through positive role modelling
Proactively manage people issues (including Wellbeing, Dependants, Time Off, Parental Leave, Sickness) liaising with HR to ensure consistent application of policy and advice
Nurturing talent within the team through succession planning and upskilling those who have potential to grow
Ensuring the Shift Production Plan is delivered to volume, cost and efficiency and contributing to shift and department team briefings ensuring teams are aware of their responsibility regarding SQCDP

Skills for Success

You should be someone who has proven managerial experience in a fast-paced Returns environment in a warehouse / logistics function with:

Good stake holder management experience for both internal and external teams
A strong analytical background who is able to demonstrate decision led leadership
The ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written formats across all levels of the logistics function and is able to present information and proposals in a professional, structured and persuasive way, eliminating ambiguity
The presence to make an immediate positive impression on others and inspire and expect the highest standards of performance and behaviour from self and team
Previous experience of an Automation Warehouse Control System (WCS) such as TGW Commander
The understanding and experience in applying Continuous Improvement tools, techniques and problem resolution skills within a distribution environment
