ASPOM is looking for its client COMPRESSPORT, a Product Designer H/F to design true technical products which will support athletes performance and to collaborate to innovation to define present and future COMPRESSPORT products.
You are responsible for designing the Global COMPRESSPORT technical apparel, socks and accessories product ranges. This includes our three main product categories, Triathlon, Trail and Road-running. You collaborate closely with athletes, body-science, graphists, product development team and suppliers to deliver winning products.
Passionate about racing and technical products, you have integrated social and environmental responsibility into your thinking and development. You translate ideas into products and features and you collaborate in the “go to market” process by putting the athletes/consumers at the heart of the process.
Able to work in an international cultural environment with part of the team in remote ; you report directly to the Global Product Manager.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the design concepts and designs of the Core range until final delivery
- Design industry leading product solutions based on the design brief
- Develop a clear COMPRESSPORT brand product image, design markers
- Collaborate closely with the cross-functional team (product marketing, development and body science) to create and shape the future Core collection of COMPRESSPORT
- Ensure product design execution within the respective deadlines, target costs and margin
- Research global industry and design trends which will influence the future collection
- Support and execute the creation of seasonal/annual and long-term Creative Direction strategies
- Design and develop activity and consumer relevant product graphics and coloration for Triathlon / Trail Running / Running (Apparel/Socks/Accessories) appropriate to the product and design brief
Requirements
- 3-4 years of design experience in performance apparel (outdoor activities / or other sports)
- Excellent understanding of product development process, good knowledge of technical apparel and understanding of textile / garment make
- Experience of working with technical and functional apparel and accessories products
- Experience of working directly with European factories – Asian ones will be an advantage
- Familiar with PLM system management
- Organizational and leadership abilities – Analytic – Excellent communication skills – Problem-solving aptitude – Creative thinking skills
- Bachelor degree (B.A.) from a college, or university, major Product Design
- Travel domestically and internationally to work with supplier, attend tradeshows and for job-relevant reasons
- Fluent in English both written and spoken
- Sportingly active ins Triathlon, Trail or Road-running
- Experience-based package
