Timberland EMEA is looking for an exceptional Senior Manager, Brand Marketing Planning and Operations to join our Marketing team based in Stabio, Switzerland.

Let’s Talk about the Role

The Senior Manager Brand Marketing, Planning & Operations is responsible for managing and collaborating with the entire Regional & Global Marketing organization, Consumer Insights, Sales, DTC, Merchandising and Finance teams to create a holistic view of all Marketing projects, with a focus on projects coordination, planning, results tracking, MROI and budget management. This role requires a proven track record in data analysis, as well as in generating fact-based recommendations based on business and consumer data insights. The objectives of this role are to drive the Seasonal Brand calendar in coordination with Merchandising, Sales, DTC and Global, ensure an Integrated Marketing Plan in line with the GTM calendar, improve MROI results and ensure best in class marketing budget management.

 

How You Will Make a Difference

We expect that our Senior Manager Brand Marketing, Planning & Operations will deliver unbeatable results whilst also fulfilling the following aspects of the role:

 

1) Marketing Operations/ Seasonal Brand calendar

Create, own, and manage the seasonal Internal Marketing Calendar for EMEA and ensure that all parties are aware, informed and signed up to meeting marketing deliverables in connection with the Go-To-Market process.
Get insights to build high-performing campaigns. This involves checking the analytics, reporting and team processes to measure the effectiveness and overall performance of the marketing programs.
Driver and owner of the Regional Integrated Marketing planning to ensure a streamlined seasonal execution.
Partner with Global Marketing to successfully navigate the global GTM milestones, providing regional opportunities, connectivity and efficiency.
Ensure Global team has visibility to Regional stories and supporting plans and regularly communicate changes as they occur.
Manage GTM alignment between Regional Marketing and regional cross-functional stakeholders including Merchandising, Sales, DTC.

 

2) Marketing Budget Management

Build Top-Down and control Bottom-up Marketing Budget.
Control marketing budget spent against key strategic choices and OGSTM.
Serve as key liaison between Marketing and Finance for EMEA region.
Drive consistent reporting via a set of marketing budgeting tools.
Recommend & Apply MROI study guidance within key decision windows – throughout the spectrum of Brand marketing activation.
Own Marketing Planner (MAP) management and reporting within the EMEA region.

 

3) Marketing Analytics

Surface strategic imperatives for the Region, commercial considerations, and Region-specific Learning Agenda for analysis.
Represent the Region within consultation sessions with Global Marketing Brand Planning team.
Provide Regional data inputs to analysis (budgetary, media placement/delivery, comp set, sales, operational factors).

 

Skills for Success

Academic: Degree in Marketing, Economics, Business Science or equivalent and a good understanding of the fashion and apparel business
Experience: Must have at least 7 years of relevant experience, ideally in Marketing or similar role
Organizational, analytical and time management skills are essential as the ability to communicate with a wide range of people from Top Management, Corporate departments, Global Marketing, Regional Marketing across a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures
Strong interpersonal, presentation, negotiation and persuasion skills
Good communication skills and the ability to work under pressure with given deadlines
Conceptual thinking to understand complex issues and their implications, some may need to be based on limited information
A talent for problem-solving
Drive, enthusiasm and flexibility
The ability to implement and devise solutions that may require a long-term perspective while taking into consideration multiple perspectives
Language skills: Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
