Timberland EMEA is looking for an exceptional Energy/Special projects and SMU Merchandiser to join our EMEA Merchandising team based in Stabio, Switzerland.

Let’s Talk about the Role

You as Energy and SMU Merchandiser will be responsible for planning, briefing, merchandising and bringing to market all special make ups for Key accounts as well as the Energy and collaborations projects.

Respecting the product creation calendar, you will manage that all projects stay within deadlines and timelines, work cross-functionally with the commercial teams and the customers as well as with the global footwear and apparel merchandising teams. The objective is to respond best to the key accounts’ specific briefs, enabling growth though trend injections and/or specific commercial additions.

You will connect with the main inline merchandising team to ensure the smu and omu programs are integrated well into the wholesale mainline assortments.

In addition, you will also be responsible for landing and managing all collaborations and special projects made for emea market.

How You Will Make a Difference

You will achieve this by:

  • Deep understanding of the EMEA Timberland consumer including their various taste and behavious from Boutique to tier2 fashion and street marketplace.
  • In partnership with the Head of Product Merchandising, create seasonal smu line plan for key accounts smu allocation, and global/regional collaborations.
  • Improving calendar, GTM process and communication between all stakeholders (global product and marketing teams, regional planning and commercial teams)
  • Monitor the development status of all smus and projects to ensure timely commercialization (footwear and apparel)
  • Create internal “trend” reports to suggest style/color additions, exclusives drops and potential adjustments to the line.
  • Briefing closer to market coming up trends in emea market within DTC, Fashion and Street accounts.
  • Monitor final pricing decisions, responsible for margin targets for smu/omus and special projects.
  • Bringing exclusives to T.0, strategic accounts and E-com to enable market differentiation and create demand for the brand.
  • Partnering up with Footwear and Apparel merchandising team, enabl a halo / trickle down strategy for more commercial inline executions.
  • Build and create exceptional presentations and selling tools to bring the SMU proposals to life at Key account meetings.
  • Meeting regularly with the sales teams to analyzing sales results to inform quick response to market opportunities.

Skills for Success

You should have:

  • 2/3+ years of professional experience in Apparel or Footwear  industry in a similar function
  • Deep understanding of the Timberland brand as well as the streetwear and fashion lifestyle business
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other Windows applications (Word, Excel, Photoshop, etc)
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
  • Strong knowledge of PLM systems and data management
  • Proactively identifying potential issues, propose solutions for xfunctional process challenges, managing commercial teams expectations
  • Very strong communication skills and crossfunctional partnership

A formal education and subsequent University Bachelor or Master’s degree in business administration are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
