Build the best product, cause no unnecessary harm, use business to inspire and implement solutions to the environmental crisis. Your role will contribute by ensuring a balanced risk between default risk and business opportunity of the outstanding accounts receivable.
2. General Summary
Manage the accounts receivables to ensure a balanced risk between default risk and the business opportunity in close cooperation with the sales, operations and our customers.
Analyse and check credit worthiness for new wholesale accounts and on an ongoing basis for existing accounts in liaison with the Sales Organization.
Manage the account statement and reminder process, cash application process and bad debt allowance.
Setup and manage DSO reporting (customer, country level and European level) and support cash flow forecast.
Support month end close process. E.g. bad debt allowance, bank reconciliation, revenue recognition, consignment customers.
Develop and maintain an European credit management policy and ensure proper controls are implemented and adhered to.
Support credit team with key-account management.
Develop and maintain seasonal customer master list and ensure alignment across Finance and Sales.
Manage customer account setup process and ensure a short turnaround time.
Supervision of monthly calculation and communication of agents’ commissions (validation of invoicing,
correct application of commercial conditions).
Managing the credit function by building and maintaining strong relationships with our customers and
the sales organization.
Manage, develop and coordinate the remote team members in Europe
In order to succeed in this role, it is expected that you will have:
Master or Bachelor Degree in Accounting / Finance and / or educational background in Accounting /
At least 7 years’ experience in Credit Control, with a minimum of 2 years in a management function.
Experience in coaching, mentoring and leading a team.
Ability to think and communicate cross functionally.
Experienced in accounting for accounts receivable.
Attention to detail, application, open mind and possess excellent communication skills.
Familiar with computer spread sheets and a word processing tool is a must.
Fluent in English
Knowledge in Microsoft Dynamics AX is a plus.
International and especially European experience preferable.
Work experience in a multi country retail setting
Experience in related industries
Strong linkage with the Patagonia business and mission statement.
Ability to work on own initiative.
