Let’s Talk about the Role
As Product Merchandis er you are responsible to research and analyze the market situation, stay updated on current and future trends, needs and product performance and run competition benchmarks, prepare presentation and make recommendations, suggest action plans. You will also support the creation of the most efficient Eastpak product assortment to fulfill the business targets as well as anticipating the market trends. This role is reporting to the Senior Merchandising Manager.
How You Will Make a Difference
Staying informed on what is selling of each channel and category and regularly download the business performance to the wider teams
Owning a complete understanding of consumer trends and markets/competition including their pricing strategies
Supporting in driving best in class profitable assortments together with the Merchandising team, driven by marketplace reality and business opportunities
Maintaining the seasonal line plans for the different segmentation and collection levels while ensuring line efficiency by conducting in depth productivity analyses (SKU level)
Contributing to the line development and collaborating with the Design & Development team on the seasonal direction by providing them with the collection briefings and ID’s
Accountable for updating and accuracy at all time of the different systems (Grid, line lists, Analyses)
Support the seasonal sales reps sample order and follow up on the process
Present the seasonal highlights and collections to sales force during the various steps of the go to market process (GTM process meetings) in coordination with wider product team and marketing
Foster a close collaboration with Planning on seasonal investment and partner with Marketing to ensure the right seasonal content is leveraged in their tools
Supporting the Sr Merch manager to implement the merchandising strategies and brand objectives
Skills for Success
3+ years’ experience in Merchandising, Sales, Product Management, Merchandising planning ideally in global brand organizations
Understanding of Excel with a strong detail orientation and thoroughness
Being a true team player that champions new way of workings
Demonstrates flexibility and initiative
Strong communication skills – includes presentation, influencing and negotiation skills
Fluent English (both written and spoken)
Has a passion for the product and is consumer obsessed
