VF Corporation is looking for an exceptional Manager, DC Quality Operations (EMEA) to join our European Quality Team. The position will be based in one of our European Distribution Centre: Sint-Niklaas (BE), Almelo (NL), Klecany (Prague) or Bardon (UK).

Let’s Talk About The Role

The Manager DC Quality Operations (EMEA) will lead a team of DC Quality Control Professionals across VF’s EMEA Distribution Center network. This role will be instrumental in driving improvements and efficiency across DC Quality Control in EMEA and will report into the Brand Quality Operations leader.

You will partner closely with Global Quality, DC Leadership, the Brands, and Sourcing to implement and execute new policies, procedures and standards to deliver high quality product to our consumers. Help to employ metrics, analytics and KPIs to improve E2E Product Quality, while also enhancing operations and optimizing processes across the DC. Actively provide input on overall strategy formulation, demonstrating good business acumen that improves processes and delivers positive results.

You will serve as the first point of contact for all DC EMEA quality issues, interacting with Brand Quality Operations, Sourcing, and Distribution Centers, to quickly resolve and mitigate any quality concerns. This role will be accountable for All Brand’s at VF, EMEA Quality and will work collaboratively across the organization to ensure the VF’s Quality Standards are upheld. As a people leader, you will be responsible for motivating, coaching, and developing talent.

How You Will Make a Difference:

Lead the Distribution Centers quality control teams within the EMEA Region. Monitor and report out on Quality performance KPI’s to the Brand.Provide dispositions for EMEA DC quality failures
Project manages all DC issues, including all 3rd party reworks, etc.
Interact with the cross-functional team to support root cause analysis and problem-solving options.
Establish DC process and tools, including Inbound PO Selection for DC Quality Teams
Establish and implement the global DC training & Certification Program, in conjunction with Global DC Leaders.
Support the Brand to provide inspection training based on the brand requirements and maintain/update the training material as needed
Own & Facilitate meetings with multiple cross-functional teams to quickly resolve quality issues. Actively manage resolution and corrective action plans, assisting with QC audits, claims and processes.
Partner with PD, Operations, Sales, and Quality Management to identify high risk products and assemble a cross-functional team to devise, manage, and execute a Risk Based Program for EMEA DCs. Ensure clear communication with Brand teams, creating connections between risky overrides, risky design processes, poor process control vs each incident – helping to identify systematic root causes from the Brand’s perspective.
Providing Continuous Perspective on where Brand can improve in quality mindset vs where Product Supply can improve.
Actively provide input on overall Quality Operations processes, demonstrating good business acumen that improves processes and delivers positive results.
Help improve Vendor Chargeback process to factories, and own facilitation of chargeback process within EMEA.

Process Improvement & Analytics

Help to employ metrics, analytics and KPIs to improve Quality Operations and optimize processes across the business process, especially related to DC Inbound Quality Control. Correlate Inbound DC Quality to Factory Outbound Quality metrics.
Lead third party negotiation initiatives to achieve cost savings from negotiation with third party repair facilities and facilitate chargebacks to factories.
Examine, evaluate and delineate actual product integrity incident vs what is a minor issue. This is extremely valuable and allows Sourcing team to focus in managing genuine product quality issues.
Revenue Protection to the Brand. Identify Quality Issues early, Investigate, Inspect, Rework, and Delivery to market with minimal/no impact to product launch or consumer perception.
Analyze warranty and returns data to advise Product & Sourcing team of potential for quality improvements products. Use Statistical Analytics to collect and analyze quality failures.

Strategic Role Relationship Building

Be a business partner and thought partner with the DC, QM, Technical Services, Sourcing organization(s) and other key stakeholders, including Product Stewardship, and Supply Planning.
Establish personal credibility and strong working relationship across all VF Brands.
Openly seeks out individuals at the brand level and supply chain internally to share relevant information that benefits the customer, business and VF associates.
Debates and provides authentic dialogue with stakeholders to achieve the shared goal.

Skills for Success:

Years of Related Professional Experience: 5+ Years experience Preferred in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Distribution Operations, Supply Chain, Product Development, or Related Field

A Bachelor’s degree (4 year) in a related field
Fluency in English (Written & Oral) Required
Fluency in Italian, French, or Dutch Preferred
Footwear, Apparel, and Equipment industry experience highly preferred
Minimum 4+ Years in Leadership positions, focused on talent and development management.
Experience managing and working directly with Quality Control teams.
Experience managing remote teams, strategic initiatives, process improvement, budgets, and managing performance by metrics.
Experience in technical engineering discipline (e.g. manufacturing, mechanical, industrial, process, quality, etc), Proven problem-solving and negotiation capabilities along with a process-focused perspective are essential.
Demonstrated analytical and mathematical skills with an aptitude for systematic work.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously to meet established deadlines.
Proficient computer skills with ability to work on and present detailed analytics.
Self-motivation and elevated level of initiative
Excellent organizational skills and the creativity to develop solutions to challenging situations.
Additional computer skills preferred: OneDrive, PowerBI, Tableau, Smartsheet

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:

Travel throughout EMEA up to 50%. Occasional international travel up to 5%
