 ROCK FOOD BEACH SURF PARTY 2011

Last Saturday 17, 2011, the Rock Food, the Hossegor Surf Club, EuroSIMA, the French Surfi ng Federationand Carlsberg organized the Rock Food Beach Surf Party at La Gravière Beach in Hossegor,France.

Annual meeting of the actors of the surf business, the Beach SurfParty is a corporate surf contest usually held in late June on theoccasion of the International Surfi ng Day. Postponed to a later datedue to poor conditions of waves, the Beach Surf Party was fi nallyheld last Saturday, September 17 at the La Gravière beach in Hossegor.

The best surfers of the boardsports companies were invited thisSaturday morning to share a festive day around beach culture. 11teams of four surfers competed in clean surfi ng conditions beforethe wind gets up early in the afternoon.

The following brands and organizations have offered a show of highquality: Billabong, DC shoes, FCS, the French Surfi ng Federation,Jeshapemaplanche.com, Moskova, Oxbow, Quiksilver, Rip Curl, theSalon des Glisseurs and Surfrider Foundation Europe.

After two rounds, the 4 teams that have scored the highest numberof points qualifi ed for the fi nal.

The great winners were Sam Carrier, Nathan Hele, François Liets,Reid Pinder (injured during the competition) and Arsène Vellardfrom the team Billabong.

The Quiksilver team (Pierre Agnes, Eric Graciet, Thomas Portet andJean-Marc Vidal) fi nished second.

Moskova won the third place thanks to the talent of its team riderscomposed of Romain Gensse, Micky Picon, Jean-Louis Poupineland Jackson Stevenson.

Team spirit and togetherness were the key words of this day dedicated to the boardsports industry.
